is ever that close to what really happened
my memory it always slants towards me
and memory only does me so good
cause when i’m stuck in my mind
i can’t make a memory that is new

feeling time tick on
bust my toe and the click of the machine drums

made it up as a pre-teen
my late eighties attempt at protecting me, it just stayed put
