when i come into a room

full of people they’re my species

knowing no one I feel more alone

than by my lonesome if a tree falls in the woods….

but when I come back to my room
sit between piles and my personal things
how much time and resource wasted
instead of group purchasing and sharing I feel the void created by filling a void

driving into work one day i thought of driving in another day
and then my mind unraveled as I traveled
and before I know it i was sitting in the parking lot again

then on friday you come my way
on the highway drivers stuck while trying to get somewhere fast
- always got to get somewhere before somebody else-
and yet how many do we know that really have some urgent place to go?

when i pull into a spot
under your big glaring beady
eyes i wish i decided to walk just a bit
further to reach this mediocre destination

but when i think of ogres made of meaty spots and beady
eyes that surprise of my ‘magination makes
this blase situation fine

pulling in my driveway
i thought of that same thing another day
and as my mind it spiraled on how i traveled
before i know it i was sitting in my car like its my friend

then on Friday things just seem to melt away
i felt a space instead of bricks and blocks
of time and clocks
and before i knew it i was right back inside my head again

when i come into a room
full of people they’re my species
knowing no one I feel more alone
than by my lonesome if a tree falls in the woods.
